What a huge crowd showed up at the Service Station last night to witness the Sixth Annual RAWK Final Four (likely around 900 people). As last year, one band won both the People's Choice (overall winner) and Judge's Choice awards. This year it was BEAF, which had finished second each of the last two years. Congratulations to them for a stirring performance, and for their hard work over the years.
To No Avail finished second in both forms of voting, and Blak Curtain was third.
All 5 bands put on a fabulous show, which should be expected of the bands that make the Finals. Also, the crowd that remained after the 5 competing bands was treated to a long, interesting set performed by Manchester. The amount of ballots cast (775) made for a long period of vote counting, and Manchester got creative in filling the time. Thanks to them for coming over from Seattle to play a very enjoyable show.
Thank you to all the bands that participated in the RAWK Final Four, to all the parents and friends that worked so hard to support them, the RAWK team and volunteers, the sponsors, the judges, and to everyone else who played a part. Thanks to the Spokane Skills Center for coming out to video tape the Finals. It will be hard to top this event next year, but I'm certain everyone will give it a shot. The Lord's Blessing to all, from your friends at RAWK.
